Captain Rodney Alexander: A Qualified and Reliable Delivery Captain

Captain Rod has more than 50 years of experience on sailing vessels and motor vessels navigating the open ocean, the intracoastal waterway, and inland waters. Captain Rod has sailed from Maine to the Florida Keys, to the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. Captain Rod has thousands of hours under sail, including many multi-day ocean voyages. Captain Rod has captained yacht deliveries along the east coast, and has acted as First Mate on yacht deliveries of vessels approaching 100 tons.

Captain Rod is an experienced and resourceful delivery captain.

Captain Rod has sailed to places where there is no one to work on boats except the captain. Captain Rod has experience maintaining and rebuilding diesel and gas engines, and experience in all manner of boat systems, including electronics, navigation, refrigeration, AC and DC power, generators, watermakers, plumbing and standing and running rigging. While our services do not include major mechanincal work, we typically can perform necessary maintenance and troubleshooting required to keep your delivery on schedule. Captain Rod is licensed by the United States Coast Guard and holds the following credentials:

1. Master of Self-Propelled Vessels not including Sail or Auxiliary Sail of Less than 50 Gross Register Tons
2. Mate of Self-Propelled Vessels not including Sail or Auxiliary Sail of Less than 50 Gross Register Tons
3. Ordinary Seaman
4. Steward's Department
